The biggest news really is the fact that BitTorent / uTorent looks to be joining the legal battle like John Does over its creation or usage as reported by torrentfreak.com. Them being sued reminds us kind of like with guns. People that use them kill people but the guns are still held accountable because they are misused. Like blaming the creators instead of the users. At the same time though the fact that BitTorent does not have something implemented to protect the users IP from being seen by others has brought lots of trouble for those in John Doe cases. It is all pretty stupid in the end though. Fighting over 1’s and 0’s of data on a computer and data being sent through wires.
We have been busy lately so that is why there are not posts every day. We will try to make posts as much as possible but when we do not we moderate comments here. We have also updated our Copyright Troll Lawyers page with all their faces but one. Kenneth John Ford, it seems like this guy was born in the dark ages and does not have any social life. So instead it has a photo of a troll and his information till someone brings it to our attention. It seems more new trolls have appeared too. This is what happens when judges allow these ridiculous cases to continue and when John Does are stupid and actually pay these trolls. They fund more trolls popping up and invading peoples privacy.
Neil H. Rubin started CP Productions, Inc. v. John Does 1-14 and Hard Drive Productions, Inc. v. John Does 1-30 and MCGIP, LLC v. Does 1-32 in Flordia. Douglas M. McIntyre (a new troll to our knowledge) started Pacific Century International Ltd. v. Does 1-30 in Texas. Brett Langdon Gibbs started First Time Videos, LLC v. Does 1-294 , Pacific Century International, Ltd. v. Does 1-87, Hard Drive Productions, Inc. v. Does 1-66 and Hard Drive Productions, Inc. v. Does 1-69. Raphael J. Whitford (another new troll?) started First Time Videos, LLC v. DOES 1-18 and Boy Racer, Inc. v. Does 1-23. Timothy V. Anderson started Hard Drive Productions, Inc. v. John Does 1-30 in Virginia.
We also found an old one here by Charles C. Maddox for Patrick Collins, Inc. v. Does 1-30.
Current Cases (West Coast Productions, Inc. v. Does 1-5,829)
In regards to Ellis L. Bennett and West Coast Productions, Inc. v. Does 1-5,829. Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly reinforced her verdict on motion to quash and mooted (makes your motions void) motion to quash from other John Doe’s. Ellis L. Bennett is STILL dismissing John Does. This can either of four reasons.
1) To make it seem like people are settling and scare other idiots watching into paying.
2) The ISP’s are not giving up the information.
3) They are trying to only include people in West Virginia for this case to avoid out of jurisdiction arguments down the line and finally the stupidest reason of them all
4) People are actually paying these trolls.
We are highly thinking #4 is not one of the reasons but you never know. There are some scared and not so smart people out there.
All their photos, including the new trolls can be seen here. They wanted to submit court documents to remove peoples anonymity and send extortion letters to people to scare them into paying money so they should not mind their faces being shown. What is also interesting about these cases is that most trolls work for Steele and also some judges have forwarded them to other judges because a) corruption or b) they want nothing to do with these cases.
Thoughts, comments or corrections or always welcome.
